Why It Matters More Than You Think

Your Logo Is Intellectual Property.
Design It That Way.

Most designers create logos purely for visual appeal. We design them with one additional layer: legal protectability. A beautiful logo that cannot be trademarked is a liability — it can be copied, imitated, or challenged by prior registrations without recourse.

At Solicitors, our logo design service is unique because it sits at the intersection of design and law. Every concept we deliver is checked against existing trademark registrations before it is presented to you — so you know you're investing in a mark you can own, protect, and enforce.

Your logo is the foundation of your entire brand identity. It will appear on your letterhead, packaging, website, signage, business cards, social media, and legal documents for years. Getting it right — the first time — is not optional.

First Impressions Are Permanent

Research shows it takes 7 seconds to form a first impression. Your logo does that work before anyone reads a word. A generic or derivative logo signals low investment in your brand — and low trust from clients.

Brand Recognition Drives Revenue

Consistent brand presentation — anchored by a strong logo — increases revenue by 23% on average. A distinctive mark becomes an asset on your balance sheet, increasing in value as your reputation grows.

Protection Starts at Registration

A trademark-registered logo gives you exclusive rights to its use in your class of goods or services — and the legal standing to stop infringers. Without registration, your years of brand-building can be exploited by a competitor who files first.

Design that Scales Across Media

A professional logo works at any size — from a 16×16px favicon to a 3-metre hoarding. We deliver vector source files (AI, EPS, SVG) plus raster exports at all standard resolutions, ensuring your brand stays crisp everywhere.

Which Type Is Right for You?

Six Types of Logo Design

The right logo style depends on your brand personality, industry, and how you'll use it. Our designers will recommend the most effective approach for your business.

Aura

Wordmark

A typographic logo using only your brand name — styled in a distinctive, custom typeface. Best for brands with a unique name that is memorable on its own. Instantly recognisable at all scales.

Examples: Google, Coca-Cola, FedEx
DLC

Lettermark

Initials or an abbreviation styled as the primary visual mark. Ideal for organisations with long names or multiple founders, where initials carry brand recognition.

Examples: IBM, NASA, LG, HP
EST

Emblem

Text enclosed within a badge, seal, or crest shape. Conveys tradition, authority, and institutional gravitas. Ideal for law firms, schools, government bodies, and heritage brands.

Examples: Starbucks, Harley-Davidson, NFL

Pictorial Mark

A recognisable, real-world object or icon as the primary mark — simplified and stylised. Works best for brands with established recognition who can let the symbol speak without text.

Examples: Apple, Twitter bird, Target

Abstract Mark

A custom geometric or conceptual form — not immediately recognisable as a real-world object. Highly ownable and distinctive, with no preconceptions attached. Ideal for tech, finance, and global brands.

Examples: Nike, Pepsi, Adidas
BRAND

Combination Mark

An icon/symbol paired with the brand name — the most versatile format. The symbol and wordmark can be used independently or together. Recommended for new and growing brands building recognition simultaneously.

Examples: Amazon, BMW, Burger King

How We Work

Our Logo Design Process

From the first conversation to the final file, a clear and collaborative process — designed to get you a logo you're proud of, fast.

01
step 1

Discovery & Brief

We begin with a structured brand discovery session — understanding your business, target audience, competitors, brand values, and visual preferences. We present you with a design brief for approval before any design work begins. This ensures every concept is grounded in your specific context, not generic aesthetics.

02
step 2

Trademark Clearance Search

Before a single concept is sketched, we run a preliminary trademark search for your proposed brand name and any visual elements in your brief. This identifies conflicts early — before you fall in love with a design that cannot be legally protected. Our IP attorneys review the search results and advise on risk levels.

03
step 3

Concept Development (2 free trials)

Our designers explore multiple creative directions, developing 2 distinct, fully-resolved concepts — each in full colour with rationale explaining the design thinking behind it. After that charges will be applied.

04
step 4

Refinement & Revisions

We first share an initial logo concept based on your requirements. You can review it and share your feedback or preferred changes. A revised concept will then be provided incorporating your suggestions. If a completely new concept or additional revision is requested beyond this stage, extra charges may apply.

05
step 5

Final Delivery

Once approved, we prepare the complete delivery package — all file formats(eg: png, jpg, zip or your specified file). Everything is delivered in a single organised folder on the Same Day . You own 100% of the design.

Why Choose Us

Design + Law — Under One Roof

IP Attorneys & Designers in One Team

No other logo design provider in India has IP attorneys reviewing your mark before it is presented. Our designers and trademark lawyers collaborate throughout the process — so you get a logo that is both beautiful and legally ownable.

Preliminary TM Search Included in Every Package

We search the Indian Trademark Registry before finalising any concept. If a conflict exists, we design around it — so you never invest in a mark you'll have to abandon after a trademark objection or opposition.

From Logo to Trademark Registration in One Step

Since we are a legal services firm, we can file your trademark application immediately after logo approval — with no handoff, no re-briefing, no delays. The Brand Identity package includes one-class trademark registration as standard.

Flat Pricing — No Hidden Fees

What you see in the package is what you pay. No per-revision charges within the included rounds. No file-format surcharges. No royalty agreements. You own 100% of the design upon final payment.

Dedicated Designer Throughout

You work with the same designer from brief to delivery — not a rotating team. Your designer attends the discovery call, presents concepts, and handles revisions personally. Direct communication, no account manager barrier.

Brand Guide You Can Actually Use

Not a 2-page PDF with hex codes — a practical, actionable brand guide that tells your team exactly how to use the logo in every context: print, digital, merchandise, signage, and co-branding. Built for operational use, not just filing.

Common Questions

Logo Design — FAQs

Who owns the logo after it is designed?

You do — completely and permanently. Upon receipt of final payment, we execute a formal copyright assignment transferring all intellectual property rights in the logo to you. You receive a signed, dated copyright assignment letter which you can use for trademark registration filings and any future legal purposes. We retain no royalty rights, no usage restrictions, and no right to display the logo in our portfolio without your written permission. This is standard practice for all our packages.

What is a trademark clearance search and why is it included?

A trademark clearance search checks the Indian Trademark Registry for existing marks that are identical or confusingly similar to your proposed name or logo elements. It is included in every package because we believe you should know what you can legally own before you invest in design. Without this check, you risk falling in love with a logo that infringes an existing trademark — leading to a refusal of your trademark application, a legal notice from the existing mark holder, or being forced to rebrand after launch. Our IP attorneys review the search results and advise you on any risk before finalising concepts.

How many concepts will I receive and how do revisions work?

Starter: 2 concepts, 1 revision round. Professional: 3 concepts, 2 revision rounds. Brand Identity: 3 concepts with multiple layout variants, unlimited revisions within scope. A "revision round" means one set of consolidated feedback that our designer addresses in a single session — not one individual change. We encourage you to collect all your feedback before each revision submission to maximise the round. After approved concepts are delivered, additional revision rounds are available at ₹999 per round.

How long does the process take?

Standard delivery is 7–10 business days for all packages. This includes the discovery brief, trademark clearance search, concept development, and first presentation. Rush delivery (3–5 business days) is available for an additional 40% fee, subject to designer availability. The total timeline depends on how quickly you provide feedback on revisions — the revision cycle typically adds 1–3 business days per round depending on response time.

Can you also register my logo as a trademark?

Yes — and this is one of our key advantages as a legal services firm. Once your logo is approved, we can file your trademark application immediately without any handoff or re-briefing. The Brand Identity package includes trademark registration for one class as standard. For other packages, trademark registration is available as an add-on at ₹1,499 (our professional fees) plus applicable government fees. We handle the entire process — application filing, follow-up with the Registry, responding to examination reports, and monitoring the application through to registration.

What file formats will I receive?

Starter: PNG (transparent, 300dpi and 72dpi), JPEG (white background). Professional and above: all of the above PLUS AI (Adobe Illustrator source file), EPS (universal vector, compatible with any design software), SVG (scalable web vector), PDF (print-ready, high resolution), and an .ico favicon file at standard sizes. All Professional and Brand Identity packages also include a black-and-white version, reversed (white on dark background) version, and a stacked/horizontal layout variant of the logo — giving you maximum flexibility across all use cases.

What if I don't like any of the concepts presented?

This is rare when the design brief is thorough — which is why we invest time in the discovery session upfront. However, if none of the initial concepts resonate, we offer a complimentary second round of concepts (additional concepts only, not revision of existing ones) for Professional and Brand Identity packages. For Starter, an additional concept set is available at ₹1,499. We do not offer refunds once design work has commenced, but we are committed to working with you until you have a logo you are genuinely satisfied with — our repeat client and referral rate reflects this.

Do you design logos for all types of businesses?

Yes — we have designed logos for law firms, technology startups, restaurants, retail brands, NGOs, educational institutions, healthcare providers, e-commerce brands, and manufacturing companies. Our designers adapt their approach to each industry's visual conventions and audience expectations. We have particular expertise in professional services branding (legal, financial, consultancy) where the balance between authority, trustworthiness, and approachability is critical — and where trademark protectability is especially important given the competitive landscape.
